Franklyn produced Call Her Daddy podcast in 2018 with her roommate, Alex Cooper. Barstool Sports picked up the podcast a month after its first episode. The podcast quickly gained traction and in just two months, downloads went from 12,000 to 2 million.
Franklyn and Cooper started negotiating a new deal with Barstool's founder, Dave Portnoy, in 2020. At the time, Franklyn was dating Peter Nelson, who was an executive at HBO Sports. Portnoy claimed that Nelson told Franklyn not to accept Barstool's contract. Franklyn charged Cooper with privately dealing with Portnoy. Eventually, Cooper accepted new terms, but not Franklyn, who left the show. After the split, Franklyn went back to Salt Lake City.
On October 5, 2020, Franklyn launched a new podcast, named Sofia with an F, and on February 25, 2026, Simon & Schuster announced Franklyn's memoir, Daddy Issues, which will be published on November 10, 2026.
